Lighthouse Hand Therapy and Consulting  specializes  in rehabilitation of the Hand and UE.  Lori is an Occupational Therapist with 20 years experience.   Treatment is focused on regaining hand and upper extremity range of motion,  increasing strength , decreasing pain in order for the client to return to work and normal daily activities.  Clients can have a range of reasons to require hand therapy after an injury, surgery, from repetitive use, or arthritis,

Mobile ( in your home or office) and Community (parks) , or office.  Telehealth/Virtual therapy is  available ( HIPPA secure platform) .  Collaborate on your individual care in order to assist your in a program to restore your function.

Our Services

Occupational Therapy Initial Evaluation

Initial Evaluation for assessment, plan of care, goals, and home exercise program.  Individualized plan, splints, adaptive equipment and modifications as needed.  

Consultation

Consultation on modifications and adaptations to home or work for ergonomics.  Home safety and fall prevention.  Sensory learning adaptations for children.

Treatment and updated Home Exercise PROGRAM

Continue to monitor progress and adapt treatment as needed.  Update home exercise program.  Follow up with Dr or other health professionals as needed.


Therapist

Lori Child MA OTR/L LMT

 Lori  Child has 20 years experience as an Occupational Therapist with over 10 years in hand therapy.  Also experience in home health,, aquatic therapy and alternative treatments.    Therapy centered on the whole person in order to motivate and inspire the individual to heal and restore function.   
 

Treatments

 Initial evaluation,  treatment, home exercise program, adaptive equipment, home modifications, splints, energy conservation, breathing techniques, communication with Dr and other healthcare professionals as needed.  Telehealth/virtual therapy available.  Consulting and Coaching.
